The coach driver dropped us on the hilltop. We were able to look Whitby from the top and also the famous Whitby Abbey. Whitby Abbey looks really spooky to me. Now I understand why they say Whitby is a vampire town.

View from hill top near Whitby Abbey

The famous Whitby Abbey

The beach

The Quayside (one of the famous ones)
As you walk along the street, you will see many fish and chips shops around. They told me The Magpie's Fish and Chips were award winning ones. I can see many people queuing up to get a bite of their fish and chips. I tried my friend's fish and chips, the batter was crispy and the fish was so fresh. It's really different from the one I had in Sheffield. Maybe it's because they use fresh cod fish for fish and chips.

Whitby Abbey from another spot
Bubu and I climbed the hill opposite Whitby Abbey to see what's over there. Hehe. Saw a five star hotel and a theathre. Then we walked through the cathedral and residential area. The houses were so beautiful.

Can you see the Magpie Cafe?

Walked to the lighthouse and then got back to Captain James Cook Ship Ride. It's a wooden ship and I was so scared it will sink and capsize. Haha. Cruise along the beach for 30 minutes and got a lot of information on life of the sailors in the sea those days.

Whitby is a very small town or should I say a village which is very nice and worth visiting, and the most important I really got to relax and feel so carefree here. =)
