Hmm, its been 2 months+ since I last blogged. Wan Yin, sorry that Im unable to blog for the past 2 months because:
(i) I'm lazy
(ii) Mom doesnt allow us to play computer, we can only touch the pc if we gt special reasons, and
(iii) Streamyx spoiled, cant online.
Even if I blogged, I dont think you will read it at the first place. Hehe.

I went to Kunming, China last December. This trip was great! The scenery is amazing but the weather gets cooler when you move to a higher place. Kunming is at 1800m above sea level which is about the same as Genting's height. When you are at 2500+ metres above sea level, you will start to have altitude reaction. Some will feel tired, sleepy and headache, but there are some even worse such as vomiting and having blood coming from their nose. Hehe. We went to Shang-rila which is at 3300m above sea level, luckily, I didnt feel anything. Perhaps I should take up the challenge to conquer the MT Everest's one day. Hehe.
I miss the food there. OMG, the food. It's not like the food in north China which is not really suited to our taste, the food there is delicious. I got to taste the fungi steamboat, 過橋麵綫, BBQ, BBQ squid, and etc. Fungi steamboat, it's very different from the one I had in Malaysia. The pot is filled with different kinds of mushrooms, some sweet potatoes and a little bit of chicken slices. What I can tell you is, the soup is OMG-incredibly tasty. But the thing is, you cant eat too much of mushrooms as you will get food poisoning. The BBQ squid is yum yum and a bit spicy, it cost only RM0.50 per stick and it's available opposite the hotel I stayed. The KFC in China sells Portuguese egg tarts!!! I've never thought that KFC would be selling egg tarts in China. Of course I must take the chance to taste the tarts. It has the milky texture and taste. Do the tarts taste like the one in Macau or Hong Kong? I dont know, I've never taste Macau or Hong Kong's egg tart unless the one I bought in Malaysia. McD's ice-cream also tastes different in China, I think they put more milk in it. The BBQ is yummy and cheap. I found this BBQ on streets at both Lijiang and Shangri-la's ancient cities. When you buy the BBQ at the roadside and eat, there will be some dogs following you in order to get some food from you. These dogs are extremely good in acting, they will act as if they havent eaten any food for the past few days, good in acting pity. I was surprised to see only cute little dogs with long fur in that city (those dogs like Maltese and Shih Tzu which are so cute that you can only find them in people's house). I cant find any 小黃狗 there. Perhaps the weather is so cold till only 'long fur' dogs manage to live, and those 'short fur' dogs died of cold weather? Haha. You can find dog's meat there too. Hehe. It's a bit cruel to eat dog, dont you think so? They told me that your body will have burning sensation after consuming dog's meat and dog's meat is more expensive than beef. lol.

Yunnan is the province of China(55 Minorities+1 (Majority) Han Chinese) with the most number of minority. Yunnan has 52 out of 55 minorities in China. You wont know if the person you saw there's a Chinese or Minority in the city. I can only distinguish whether the person I see is a minority when he is in his traditional clothes. Haha. It's funny that I saw a signboard showing dinosaur hill 恐龍山, I wonder if there's dinosaur there?
Shangri-la is the nicest place to travel during spring as there will be lots of flower (blooming period). Unfortunately, I cant see a single flower there because it's winter. :-( The weather in Shangri-la is very different as it's located almost at the peak of the mountain. The temperature will rise to almost 20 degrees celcius during the day and fall to -25 degrees in night during december. So, I wont go out at night. You cant even run and walk faster at Shangri-la as it's at 3300m above sea level, you will get tired easily, feel dizzy, or faint if you do so, even if your health status is excellent. This is due to the lack of oxygen in your lung. Higher the place, lesser oxygen you got.

Kunming is a city, there's many people at night making the city more livelier. The crime rate in Kunming is low, snatch theft is rarely happen there unlike Malaysia. Many shopping complexes there but they arent as big as ours, Parkson is very famous there, Chinese there praise Parkson like a place in heaven. Maybe this is because the goods sold in Parkson are expensive so they think only those upper classes can afford it.

To me, Lijiang is the best place in this trip. The ancient city is beautiful and clean, I dont know how to describe it. It's like a maze, you will lose your way because it's too big and many walkways. It will take you about a few days to a week for you to walk if you really visit every nook and corner of the ancient city. You will be amaze with the ancient city's buildings, the people, culture and food. There's a 酒吧街 where you can find many bars and a variety of western food in the ancient city. It is the liveliest and crowded area at night as it is the place for many young locals and foreigners as well as tourists to enjoy their night life. In Yunnan, I only saw two snow mountains there, one is at Lijiang and the other one is near Shangri-la.

I've nothing much to say about Dali. Dali has a big lake almost as big as an ocean. Dali is situated near the border of Myanmar, Laos and Thailand. This means you will reach South East Asia's Golden Triangle after crossing the border. I think you know what Golden Triangle produces. Drugs!
Good impression on Kunming and Lijiang. I will surely go to there again if I were given the chance! WAN YIN, lets go there together when we are in our twenties, ok? You gotta see the photos which I've uploaded on Friendster to have an overall view on Kunming, Lijiang, Dali and Shangri-la, Zhongdian.
Is year 2007 a grear year for you? Did you live year 2007 with no regrets? Year 2007 is neither good nor bad year for me. I admit that I might be sad at times, but how do you know if you are happy now when you do not have sad matters in the past? I am unhappy that I failed MAF, people criticizing my idol even when I didnt comment anything on their idols (you know who i mean), misunderstanding between friends, etc. But I'm happy that I saw Wu Chun last year, had birthdays celebrations with lotsa friends. I must live 2008 with no regrets. I must put in enough effort in everthing I do. (as if I can). Hehe.
I bought Fahrenheit's second album recently and their songs are so nice. How I wish they could come to Malaysia to promote their album. They will be having their first Asia tour concert in 2008, will the concert held in Malaysia too? Even if they have concert here, I wont be able to go due to transportation problems. Sob. Wu Chun will be coming to Malaysia for drama promotional activities, should I go? If I go, I have to use RM200 for the DVD.
LIM WAN YIN, I think I will fail the Basic Auditing paper. I'd never thought that I will fail this paper but when I open the paper, I only know how to do 1 question out of 6 questions. Padan muka to me because I did not study the last 3 chapters. The stupid timetable, 3 papers berturut2 in one week, 3 more in another week. I dont have the time to study. Cant sleep and have to burn midnight oil every day! But I still fail. I wonder if I can graduate next semester. Business Law, Tamadun Islam, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting Fundamentals, Basic Auditing, Business Economics, and the stupid resit paper Management Accounting Fundamentals. I'm not sure if I can pass all these papers. SIGH.
I've lost a pair of jeans which I've bought in Sungai Wang in Padini Authentic while I was choosing my CNY clothes. Hate!!! I wonder why would anyone steal people's new bought clothes? Can they fit in? And it's very cheap, so it's very stupid to steal a cheap jeans. I think when you took away something which doesnt belongs to you, you will lose something far more precious in the future. Should I curse the person who stole my jeans? Just assume I'm not lucky today. Who knows I will get something better in return? Hahaa.
Chinese New Year is coming. How will you spend this CNY? Make this CNY a great one. I think I will stay at home this CNY. Sob. CNY is the time for you to get as much $$ as you can! Besides, it's a time for you to get closer with family members and friends. I love CNY! My main priority this year, hmm, every year, is to get as much angpows as I can as I wont be able to get more angpows when I get older (20+ years old, you are considered as old to get angpows and people seldom give angpow to you).Hope you can have a great CNY. Eat lotsa yummy cookies and food! Enjoy! It's hard to keep yourself slim during CNY, huh? Go, go, go! Happy Chinese New Year!!! 新年快樂 恭喜發財!!! :-)
Sorry for the poor English ya.
